How are attorneys ordered?
In random order. Placement is not for sale to anyone, including you. There is no pay-to-rank and no paid placement, so a solo practice and a large firm have exactly the same chance of appearing first.
What practice areas and case types can I list?
Criminal defense, family law, and immigration on the web signup, with detailed case types set in the app. You choose your practice areas, case types, and coverage area, and you only appear for the work you actually want. Personal injury is currently waitlisted for PI-only practices; multi-practice attorneys can add it in the app.
How do clients reach me?
Directly. When a client chooses your listing they contact you at your firm using the contact details on your profile. Law Book is never in the middle of the engagement and never brokers the relationship.
I charge more than most. Does this still work for me?
Yes. The fee filter is not a discount filter. Clients can search by a flat fee range, by an hourly rate, or with no price preference, which shows every attorney regardless of what they charge. If you bill hourly, you appear in hourly searches. Under no price preference, you appear for everyone. The clients who reach you already know your fees and reached out anyway, which means fewer consultations with people who were never going to hire you.
How do I sign up?
